Chris Kafina writes stories about transformation, second chances, and the mysterious forces that shape our lives. His debut novel, Poppin’ Bubbles, is a heartfelt coming-of-age journey with a metaphysical twist—early readers have likened it to a mashup of Mitch Albom, Matt Haig, and Paulo Coelho.

Chris studied literature and economics at Wesleyan University and now lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he works as a Director of Sales for a tech company. Nearly ten years ago, after a particularly chaotic solo trip through Europe, he began jotting down reflections that would eventually grow into Poppin’ Bubbles. Many of the novel’s most vivid scenes and emotional turns were inspired by real places, real questions, and a restless desire to understand how we all grow through struggle.

Outside of writing, Chris volunteers as a coach for a high school boys varsity soccer team and spends as much time as he can with family and friends. He’s also known to get overly competitive in pickleball, shank golf balls in every direction on the course, and hit the dance floor whenever possible.

He’s currently working on his next novel—and still trying to figure out how to live a life worth writing about.
